Citizenship ceremony held at Raleigh International Festival

More than 230 people became new United States citizens in Raleigh on Friday. A special naturalization ceremony kicked off the capitol city’s 25th annual International Festival. Every day in our country, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services welcomes about 3,000 new citizens.

Germantown man who impersonated ICE agent pleads guilty to federal charges

Robert Fred Mejia, 29, a Germantown man who posed as an immigration agent and promised citizenship documents in exchange for cash, has pleaded guilty to conspiring to transport money obtained by fraud across state lines; to impersonating an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer; and to transporting money obtained by fraud, according to the United States Attorney for the District of Maryland.

Arizona colleges accused of immigrant discrimination
